Phosphate solubilization potential of rhizosphere fungi isolated from satoimo taro plant

Abstract Phosphorus is an essential nutrient required by plants for their growth and development. Phosphates bioavailability in nature approximately 95-99% but insoluble, therefore the plant can not simply use them. The alternative to overcome phosphate deficiency utilizing solubilizing fungi. This research aimed at selecting characterizing fungi rhizosphere of saitomo taro ( Colocasia esculenta var antiquorum). test on isolate ability solubilize was conducted through qualitative quantitative. Qualitative carried out counting index solubilization solid Pikovskaya while quantitative concentration spectrophotometry wave length 693 nm. result showed that highest solubilisation 1.08 RTP25 demonstrated RTP16 released with amount 12.78 µgl −1 . Isolate RTP 25 (by Trichoderma sp) Aspergillus be potential developed as biofertilizer.
